Under the classic .net: a familiar, stable ending that works for any project.
FREE DOMAINS FOR EVERYONE
Public Free Suffix is a non-profit free subdomain service with an education-first mission, built and run by the community since January 1, 2025. We give developers, students, and network enthusiasts free names for hands-on learning and research: domains, DNS, web servers, email servers, HTTP/HTTPS, and SSL/TLS. No annual fees, ever.

WHY_PFS
BUILT_FOR_LEARNING
A well-kept zone with guardrails, not a wild west
SEUS_DNS_BUILTIN
Every domain lands on SEUS DNS, our global resolution service. No third-party DNS setup: check availability, register, and resolve in one place.
EVERY_RECORD_TYPE
A, AAAA, MX, NS, CAA, TXT, CNAME, ALIAS, HTTPS, and more: all the records a real project needs, managed in the same console.
GUARDED_COMMUNITY_ZONE
GitHub-verified members, a published Acceptable Use Policy, and fast abuse takedowns. The zone stays clean, so your name keeps its reputation.
AVAILABLE_SUFFIXES
SIX_LIVE_ZONES
Claim one label under any suffix, while names last
Reads as "is a SI": the ending spells Super Intelligence, and it carries AI and SI alike. A natural home for AI-driven projects, and a classic for personal "I am" pages.
A community favourite for labs, bots, and weekend experiments.
Short and memorable. Great for URL forwarders, tunnels, and quick demos.
Compact and memorable, with plenty of good names still up for grabs.
The project home zone, operated on our own nameservers. Solid, boring, and dependable by design.
// every name is a single label under the suffix: myname.is-a.si works, my.name.is-a.si does not. deploy something within 30 days; idle domains are gently reclaimed so others can use them.

SHIP_IT
DEPLOY_ANYWHERE
Point your domain at the platform you already build on
CLOUDFLARE_WORKERS
Add the CNAME your Worker gives you as a record in the console, and your project answers on your own name. Edge code on a domain that cost you nothing.
VERCEL_PROJECTS
Attach the domain to your Vercel project: add the record Vercel shows you, verify, and your deployment gets a production address you actually own.
NETLIFY
Netlify hands you a netlify.app URL and a DNS target. Add the target as a CNAME record, or an ALIAS if you want the bare domain, paste your name into Netlify's domain settings, and certificate renewals take care of themselves from there.
GITHUB_PAGES
Point a CNAME at your Pages site, or A records at GitHub's addresses if you want the apex. Set the custom domain in your repo settings, flip the enforce HTTPS switch, and your README project has a real address.
CLOUDFLARE_PAGES
Every Pages project gets a pages.dev subdomain; your name can replace it. Add the CNAME the dashboard suggests, attach the domain in your project settings, and certificates are issued for you without a ticket or a form.
FIREBASE_HOSTING
Firebase asks for a couple of A records, or a TXT record to prove the name is yours, then provisions a certificate and starts serving. The console shows exactly what to paste, one value at a time.
YOUR_OWN_SERVER
A 1-core, 512 MB RAM, 5 GB disk box with a single IPv6 address is already a server. Point an AAAA record at it (or an A record for IPv4), and the learning starts: no platform in the middle, just you, your ports, and everything this project was founded to teach. No hardware yet? A free Light Server is one request away, below.
// every platform above starts the same way: one record in the console. what happens next is their job, and they are good at it.
LIGHT_SERVERS
A_BOX_OF_YOUR_OWN
A free IPv6-only machine for every active community member
$ lights spec --free
vCPU 1 shared core
MEMORY 512 MB
DISK 5 GB
NETWORK 1 public IPv6 address
RENEWAL community points, auto monthly
$ echo $COST # 0.00, forever
$
REAL_MACHINE_REAL_ADDRESS
A small but real computer with a public IPv6 address of its own: enough for a blog, a practice mail server, a bot, or your first containers. It stays free for as long as you stay active in the community: a small number of points a month, earned by posting build logs and answering questions. Miss a month and it pauses instead of deleting; your disk waits up to 60 days, and the same machine comes back exactly as you left it.
